Henry and Nancy had nine children; Armstead H., William H., Lewis M., Mary, Elizabeth, John Peter, Samuel, Henry Franklin Jr. and McCager. Peter Kingry (1770-1872) is thought to be Henry's father, however this fact has not been proved. Peter and Henry both purchased land in Windsor Township, Lawrence County, Ohio in August 1837 which indicates a strong tie. Peter lived to be 102 years old and died near Ironton. Peter could also have been an uncle or cousin to Henry.

He was also known as Cager or Kager (1957) McCager was generally known as Cager Kingery as shown on the marriage license to Paulina Sanders Lewis. McCager, known as Cager, Kager, Kay, or K.K. during his lifetime, married Paulina Jane "Sanders" Lewis about 1896. Paulina was widowed at the time with four children from her previous marriage to George W. Lewis; Joshua C., George S., John C., and Hartley. McCager and Paulina had five children, only three of whom survived to adulthood. Lucy Kingery died in infancy and Benjamin died after being shot in the temple while hunting in Lawrence County at the age of eighteen. Both children are buried in the Kingry Cemetery. Lucy's grave is not marked. McCager, known as one of the best square cut stone masons in the area, also farmed, taught school and worked as cooper. He died at the age of 75 yrs., 9 mos., and 26 days.

Jerome moved to Clark County, Oh. from Lawrence County in 1923 bringing his parents and siblings with him. Jerome's father, McCager Kingery, died the following year and was buried with his parents and grandparents in the Kingry Cemetery in Lawrence County. Jerome's first employment in the Springfield area was at the McKenzie Lumber Company. He worked there with his half brother, Joshua Lewis, who had been in Clark County since about 1921. Jerome was hired by the International Harvester Company in 1934 where he worked in the truck assembly plant until he retired. Jerome farmed and built houses on the side most of his adult life. After the death of his first wife, Jerome hired Corinne Swope to keep house and stay with his children while he worked. The nation was in the middle of the great depression and Corinne was separated from her husband, Luther, by economic necessity. Luther Swope could not find work and could not support Corinne and their young son, Carl. The homeless family moved to Springfield from Detroit hoping to stay with Corinne's mother but Mrs. Wolcott would not permit Luther to stay or possibly did not have the means to support all three. Therefore, Luther returned to Detroit to look for work while Corinne and Carl stayed with Corinne's mother. Corinne became pregnant with Ronnie while keeping house for Jerome and moved back to Detroit when the baby was due to avoid a scandal. When the baby was born, Corinne gave the baby the Swope name. Corinne and Luther divorced shortly after Ronnie was born and Corinne married Jerome in 1937. Luther never accepted the child as his, which it wasn't, and Corinne never allowed Jerome to claim the child as his own, even after they were married. Of all Jerome's children, Ronnie bears the most striking resemblance to Jerome.

Peter could also have been an uncle or cousin to Henry.

McCager, known as Cager, Kager, Kay, or K.K. during his lifetime, married Paulina Jane "Sanders" Lewis about 1896. Paulina was widowed at the time with four children from her previous marriage to George W. Lewis; Joshua C., George S., John C., and Hartley. McCager and Paulina had five children, only three of whom survived to adulthood. Lucy Kingery died in infancy and Benjamin died after being shot in the temple while hunting in Lawrence County at the age of eighteen. Both children are buried in the Kingry Cemetery. Lucy's grave is not marked. McCager, known as one of the best square cut stone masons in the area, also farmed, taught school and worked as cooper. He died at the age of 75 yrs., 9 mos., and 26 days.

Jerome moved to Clark County, Oh. from Lawrence County in 1923 bringing his parents and siblings with him. Jerome's father, McCager Kingery, died the following year and was buried with his parents and grandparents in the Kingry Cemetery in Lawrence County. Jerome's first employment in the Springfield area was at the McKenzie Lumber Company. He worked there with his half brother, Joshua Lewis, who had been in Clark County since about 1921. Jerome was hired by the International Harvester Company in 1934 where he worked in the truck assembly plant until he retired. Jerome farmed and built houses on the side most of his adult life. After the death of his first wife, Jerome hired Corinne Swope to keep house and stay with his children while he worked. The nation was in the middle of the great depression and Corinne was separated from her husband, Luther, by economic necessity. Luther Swope could not find work and could not support Corinne and their young son, Carl. The homeless family moved to Springfield from Detroit hoping to stay with Corinne's mother but Mrs. Wolcott would not permit Luther to stay or possibly did not have the means to support all three. Therefore, Luther returned to Detroit to look for work while Corinne and Carl stayed with Corinne's mother. Corinne became pregnant with Ronnie while keeping house for Jerome and moved back to Detroit when the baby was due to avoid a scandal. When the baby was born, Corinne gave the baby the Swope name. Corinne and Luther divorced shortly after Ronnie was born and Corinne married Jerome in 1937. Luther never accepted the child as his, which it wasn't, and Corinne never allowed Jerome to claim the child as his own, even after they were married. Of all Jerome's children, Ronnie bears the most striking resemblance to Jerome.

Survived by his wife, Lisa M. (Gentry); daughters, Taylor Gentry and Bailey Crowder, both of Niles; parents, Kenneth and Betty Crowder of South Bend; mother-in-law, Betty L. Gentry of Niles; brothers, Kenneth (Monica) and Daniel (Aletha), all of South Bend, and Benjamin of Walkerton. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles, where friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.

February 22, 1974 – March 31, 2015
Jessica Roach, adored daughter of parents Jim Roach and Julie Pace Kazee and step parents Deborah Roach and David Kazee, love of Stephen Fisher, mother of Jesse Roach-Fisher and Katlyn Roach-Fisher, mother-in-law to Cory Mannon, memaw of Victoria and Cloud Roach-Fisher, sister of Isaiah Roach (wife Christina) and Joseph Pace, granddaughter of Margaret Hall-Smith, departed on her last and greatest journey March 31, 2015 to know and be known in God’s presence!
She cherished her family! Always willing to speak her piece and ready with her radiant smile, she looked for the good in everyone she met. She enjoyed cooking, camping and canoeing. She was a strong person and touched the lives of those dear to her.
Jessica attended Southwestern High School and graduated from Marshall University with a degree in Hospitality and Culinary Arts.
There will be a memorial service on April 11th from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at the O.O McIntyre Park, State Route 775, Patriot, Ohio at the Bob White Shelter to remember her life with us and celebrate the one she begins!
